With the application of steel wire rope lifting tape in cement companies as vertical lifting materials, it has achieved good results in high efficiency, energy saving and cost reduction for the cement industry. However, while it is well received by users, it still has the shortcoming of short service life, especially for high-temperature tapes. During use, there are often problems such as breakage of joints, hoppers falling off, early aging, and deviation. How to solve these problems has become the key to extending the service life of the tape.

With the application of steel wire rope lifting tape in cement companies as vertical lifting materials, it has achieved good results in high efficiency, energy saving and cost reduction for the cement industry. However, while it is well received by users, it still has the shortcoming of short service life, especially for high-temperature tapes. During use, there are often problems such as breakage of joints, hoppers falling off, early aging, and deviation. How to solve these problems has become the key to extending the service life of the tape.
 
1. The joint part is broken:
 
The joint part breaks during the use of the lifting tape is more common. The main cause is the rubber tapping, the exposed wire rope, and the wire rope breaking due to fatigue after the rubber is stressed.
 
Reasons for affecting life: the ring joints in the steel wire rope lifting tape usually use aluminum-titanium alloy splint joints, which are mainly used for punching. The aluminum-titanium alloy splint is fastened into a ring by bolts. Its shortcomings: the joints are most prone to problems... often the rubber is subjected to excessive squeezing force, first fatigue cracks appear, then the rubber is cut out, the wire rope is exposed, and the wire rope is broken.

☞Solution: The utility model patent (Patent No.: ZL200920119059.7. The structure of the curtain fabric canvas covered at the joint of the steel wire rope lifting tape) is a new technology for solving the fracture of the joint. This patent relates to the two end joints of steel rope hoisting tape, with high-strength fabric curtain canvas or short fiber rubber on both sides, a relative tape backing plate in the middle of the joint, and a tape pressure plate on the outside. It is common for the hopper to fall off during the use of the lifting tape. The cause is that the middle core of the tape and the longitudinal steel ropes are evenly arranged. When the hopper is installed, holes are punched and the longitudinal steel ropes of the middle core are broken.
 
Reasons affecting life: At present, many companies often have bolt tails pulled off when using steel wire rope lifting tape. The reason is that during the production process of steel wire rope tape, because the longitudinal steel wire ropes embedded in the core are evenly distributed, it is necessary to install the iron bucket Punching holes in the steel wire rope tape and inevitably frequently interrupting the longitudinal steel wire rope, causing the inverted nails of the bolt tail to fail to jam the longitudinal steel wire rope. The result: often during operation, the hopper shakes and scrapes the wall, and after the hopper is subjected to excessive impulse, the bolt tail stretches forward to cause the carrier to pull off. In severe cases, the entire iron hopper falls off and the equipment is damaged. Production cannot be carried out.

3. Aging problem:

Temperature is very sensitive to the aging of the tape. Many users have four levels of tape performance:

①T1：100℃

②T2：125℃ 

③T3：150℃ 

④T4：175℃

In fact, the four heat resistance levels refer to the conveyor tape and the use environment of the conveyor tape and the lifting tape are different. The temperature of the material in the sealing operation of the lifting tape is combined with the heat generated by the friction of the tape, so the temperature of the tape is often slightly higher or the same as the material temperature.For example, T2: The temperature of the material can only be ≤80°C when the temperature is 125°C for lifting. When the user chooses an inappropriate heat resistance grade, it often leads to premature aging of the tape.

At present, the best rubber variety recognized at home and abroad is "EPDM" rubber. From the performance analysis of rubber types, "EPDM" rubber can be used for 50 months at a constant temperature within 120 degrees Celsius. However, it is very difficult to bond this kind of rubber to the steel wire rope, so most of the high temperature resistant steel wire rope lifting tapes on the market today use "styrene butadiene" rubber or "chloroprene" rubber as the main production material, so when the temperature reaches a constant temperature of 150 degrees Celsius At the same time, the service life of the tape is even difficult to support 6 months.

 

4. Tape deviation:

One is that there may be a problem with the verticality of the tape; the other is whether the joint is biased.
 
The steel wire rope hoisting tape produced by the company adopts new technology and new technology, and applies a number of patented technologies. The rubber used includes "EPDM, butyl, neoprene, styrene butadiene rubber, natural rubber" and other varieties. Generally, the service life of the tape is increased by more than 5 years, and the product is well received by users.
